Assignment Description

The Software Engineering Enabling team is part of TDIs Design, Software Engineering & Data Science (DSD) unit. The Enabling Team aims to enable and improve software development for teams throughout Equinor. The team works to ensure a strong culture for software development, establish governance and recommended practices, make recommendations on tools and techniques, develop and operate key software development tools/components, facilitate training, and work closely with the Equinor software development community.

• Contribute to defining the client recommended practices and governance for software development
• Work closely with software development teams to advice and help them acquire new skills related to tools, components, techniques, etc.
• Have a key role in developing the software development community, inspire others and promote technologies, tools, and techniques
• Initiate and run competence building activities related to software development, like workshops, courses, and hackathons
• Build and maintain tools in the client software development platform ecosystem, like source control management systems, community web sites, automation tools, golden paths, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or masters degree in computer science or related fields (working experience may compensate for formal education)
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in software development
• Experience and interest in front end development
• Experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, CSS
• Experience with cloud services (preferably Azure)
• Curiosity and passion about your own work, and strong commitment to learning * Entrepreneur mind-set, outgoing, motivated by supporting and helping others
