THE OPPORTUNITY IN A NUTSHELL

You? A skilled Data Platform Engineer with a passion for building agile data platforms in a Data Mesh environment.

Role? Develop and maintain an Internal Developer Platform, handling tasks from coding to communication across teams.

Location? Join us at Finn.no in our Norway office, with the flexibility to work remotely 2-3 days a weekyour choice, your balance.

WHO ARE YOU?

• You have 3+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Excellent DevOps skills with focus on automation (GitHub Actions and Make) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Proficient with Linux and scripting (BASH, Python).
• Strong on async collaboration and communication in English.
• Experience in building self-service platforms for high-availability systems and data engineering (SQL, Snowflake, dbt, Kafka) is a plus.

WHAT's THE JOB LIKE?

• Develop & Maintain: Work on an internal developer platform driven by a Data Mesh philosophy to support data engineering teams.
• Code & Automate: Use BASH, Python, Terraform, GitHub Actions to automate and deploy solutions.
• Data & Security: Handle managed-services and data pipelines according to security and compliance practices.
• Collaborate & Communicate: Work with teams across Nordics, using Slack, GitHub, and Google Meet for async and real-time discussions.
• Own & Improve: Take ownership of tasks, improve workflows, and contribute to a scalable and agile data platform.

COLLEAGUES

• You will be part of a team of 7 individuals, distributed in Stockholm and Helsinki, meeting digitally daily, meeting physically regularly in one of our Nordic locations, for larger meetups but also for ad-hoc work-from-another-office visits. We're part of the data platform area, combining data engineering, data management, data science and machine learning teams. We are only one out of many teams of talented individuals with diverse backgrounds, intellects and identities.
